The principal accountabilities for this role will be building a 3 year product plan as well as being able to implement and mange it, throughout the product life cycle. The successful candidate will also be required to develop consumer and commercial products; review and streamline the existing product range and work closely with the sales, operations and finance teams. The product manager will additionally be responsible for the profit generated by each product across the entire value chain.
The suitable candidate will have to brief regular sales meetings and support the set up of focus groups in order to gather customer requirements and needs. Analysing, benchmarking and modelling of the existing and proposed products will also be a requirement. The opportunity to develop a multimedia marketing approach will be available and this will be to ensure the companies products are promoted in line with the businesses overall strategy and priorities.
A suitable candidate will be a proven self starter who has at least 3 years experience within product management and preferably from a large brand. The candidate should also possess excellent analytical skills, as well as being able to spot opportunities. They should also have the skills to sell concepts in a manner that is simple to understand. It is essential to have outstanding communication skills with the ability to be influential in the workplace and demonstrate excellent stake holder management.
