Digital Operations Support Engineer - Trader Digital - Auto Trader - Newton-Le-Willows

The successful applicant will need to work proactively within a 5 man engineering team:

• They will be expected to monitor the internal and external applications, servers and network running through a primarily Linux based infrastructure.
• The role will involve fast response to alerts and incidents ensuring that any downtime of service is kept to an absolute minimum.
• They will be required to work to a specified shift pattern and provide on-call support for applications under the company’s umbrella.
• Engineers will need to produce daily uptime and availability statistics for management.
• Trend analysis techniques are used by the Service Desk engineers to ensure that they can proactively identify any potential incidents.
• Department documentation is kept sufficiently up to date.
• A high standard of 1st and 2nd line response to incidents and outages is required to ensure quality standards using ITIL best practices.
