C.V. 2.0: Can you write your résumé to fit into 160 characters (or less)?

...users of the social networking site are taking a more passive approach to their job-hunt:

They are advertising their need for work simply by updating their Facebook status.

It may well be the laziest possible way to look for employment, but it can be surprisingly effective. Nate Callens, an actor and teacher, discovered just how useful when he found himself wanting for work back in October.

"Substitute teaching has been slow this year, and I needed money," he says. "I posted something along the lines of ‘Nate needs a quick $500...anybody?' I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was hoping to get someone's attention."

He did. A former employer saw his status and offered him some part-time work that was perfect for his situation.
