Free CV Tips: date of birth

It's usually a no-no to state your date of birth. I remember being told some years back that US employment laws states that would-be employers should never discriminate based on age. If you state your age and don't get a job offer, US employers fear you may sue based on age discrimination. To avoid the risk, they usually don't call applicants who state their age or date of birth on their CV.
