Job Vacancy: Use your Prince2 skills at the Natural History Museum

An opportunity to use your Prince2 skills at the Natural History Museum in London has appeared.

Part Time Programme Manager Collections Storage Infrastructure Programme (CSIP)
  • Fixed Term for 6 months: £18,000 per annum (based on 2 ½ days or 18 hours per week)
  • Closing Date: Thursday 18 June 2009
Science Directorate is now establishing the Collections Storage Infrastructure Programme, whose aim is to improve the conditions under which Museum collections are held.

Working on behalf of the Senior Responsible Owner, you will be responsible for ensuring the programme is set up, including producing the programme definition documentation.

You will oversee the day-to-day management of the programme, including monitoring delivery of individual projects against plan, managing risks and issues, and maintaining overall coherence between the constituent projects.

You will have previous experience of managing and delivering programmes or complex projects, using PRINCE2, Managing Successful Programmes, or equivalent recognised methodologies.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to build good working relationships at all levels are also essential requirements, along with planning skills, problem solving ability, and experience of managing budgets.

Interviews will take place on 1, 2 or 3 July 2009.
