Take a Class

Many hiring managers recommend taking a class during a period of unemployment; be that following redundancy or resignation. You never stop learning so the more (technical) competence you have, the better.

When you take a class in your chosen field, you are demonstrating how serious you are about your work and that you are willing and capable, to use your initiative.

Another advantage to taking a class: It's a great networking opportunity and something else to bolster your CV, let alone being something new and interesting to bring up at your next interview.
