What’s the Agile Automation Engineer role all about?

As an automation engineer at Appliances Online, you’ll help us to push the boundaries of the possible. We don’t want you to have to find the same bugs over and over again so we’re investing in practices like TDD/BDD to automate as much of the mundane as possible, leaving you more time to explore the edges of our systems and find the really interesting problems.

What will be my responsibilities?

Proven experience and understanding of agile principles/practices
Strong technical skills demonstrated by experience of Selenium RC
To collaborate with people from across our business to ensure that our software works for our customers
Moderate experience of databases and T-SQL
To be hungry for perpetual learning, participating in community events, workshops etc.

What skills do I NEED to have?

Demonstrable experience in testing techniques such as:

Selenium RC with C# / .Net
Test Automation
Exploratory testing
Performance testing
