We’re after a front end developer who is passionate about what they produce. It’s not about glory, that’s for designers! It’s about producing the clean, optimised, well-formed code that makes Appliances Online a multi-million pound eCommerce enterprise website.

As a front end developer at Appliances Online you will need to be able to work alongside our awesome designers to take concepts from wireframes, through the design phase and into working prototypes and then full production ready code.

What skills do I NEED to have?

• Good solid knowledge of HTML
• Good knowledge of CSS and using CSS for layouts.
• Basic knowledge of jQuery
• Basic knowledge of Photoshop
• Understanding of source control mainly Subversion
• Good knowledge of site speed and optimisation
• Basic knowledge of UX principles
• Ability to prioritise tasks and workload

Advantageous but not essential

• Understanding of responsive design principles
• Working into a .Net environment
• Knowledge of Object Orientated programming principles
• Related Degree
• Understanding of Agile development process
• HTML 5
• CSS 3
• Experience of using/developing for WordPress
